Here are some tools I have created to help me out whilst I engineer. They are tools I worked on in University and in my spare time. I'm not sure how much time they have saved me, but I am sure it's a lot.
Disclaimer: Do NOT take these tools as gospel! If you are a good engineer you will ALWAYS check your work, and if possible get others to check it. Please use these tools as a guide. I am only human, so a mistake may exist amongst these. If they do please contact me. I take no responsibility if something goes wrong because of you using these. Be a good engineering and CHECK YOUR WORK.

the Tables
Basic Properties
Welds Treated as a Line
This table gives various welding patterns and their corresponding Section Modulus for Bending and Polar Moment of Inertia.
Piping Design

the Tutorials
Ansys Tutorial - Simple Lug
Simple tutorial on how to use ANSYS to perform an FEA on a simple lug.
Ansys Tutorial - Advanced Windscreen
A more advanced thermo/electric tutorial. A rear window with heating wire is modelled. The heating wire requires an electrical current (the Voltage being the DOF). The electrical resistivity of the material produces heat, which heats the surrounding glass.
